The Alliance of Auto Service Providers of Pennsylvania is a state association supporting the automotive service providers throughout Pennsylvania. We offer a range of benefits to our members and are affiliated with the national Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP).

Prior to 1955, independent garages were just that: hardy individuals on their own with little cooperation on matters of common concern. However, in 1955, Ralph James of Oklahoma helped form IGOA, the Independent Garage Owners of America. Also in 1955, a group of garage owners in Lancaster County formed the IGOP, the Independent Garage Owners of Pennsylvania, Inc.
